Create and manage profiles

This section explains profile types in Syntphony CAI, access scope per profile and how to create and manage permissions.

Profile types and access scope

The following table describes the five types of profiles and summarizes their access and permissions across all Syntphony CAI resources:

Profile
Access scope
Main responsibilities

Viewer

Environments and Dialog Manager.

View Virtual Agent content and test flows.

Editor

All resources except user management and creation/deletion of Virtual Agents.

  • Build and maintain dialogs;

  • Create and edit content and parameters;

  • Test flows;

  • Train and export Virtual Agents.

Manager

All resources except user management.

All Editor permissions, plus:

  • Create, edit, and delete environments, channels, and Virtual Agents;

  • Enable Generative AI features;

  • Access Analytics dashboards;

  • Import and export Virtual Agents.

Admin

All resources within assigned organizations.

All Manager permissions, plus:

  • Manage users;

  • Grant environment access;

  • Enable or disable additional platform features.

Owner

Organization and environments.

  • Create organizations and environments;

  • Grant Admin access.

Admins have access to all Virtual Agents and environments in the organizations they are part of.

How to create users

Only Admins can manage users (create, edit, delete, or grant permissions).

Step by step to create

  1. Go to Users option in the sidebar;

  2. Then, you'll see a list of all users that are part of the Organization. If you still don't have any users or need to create a new one, just click on Create user;

  3. Complete the required fields:

    • Name;

    • Email;

    • Company (optional);

    • Profile image (optional).

  4. Define whether the user will be an Admin:

    1. If yes, assing it and click Save;

    2. If not, choose the respective option, them click on Continue and you'll see a new section. You'll be asked to select a profile and which environments and Virtual Agents this user will have access to.

There are no limits on how many Virtual Agents any given user can access. Admins access all Virtual Agents.
