# Login

## Purpose

Access the Messaging Portal with your organization credentials after account provisioning.

## Who this is for

All portal users (agents, supervisors, and administrators).

## First access

When a portal user is created, an email is sent to the registered address. The email includes:

* Direct link to your organization tenant
* Organization name
* Username (email address)
* Link to create or reset your password

Use the link in the email to set your password. The link is valid for one-time use or for 24 hours before it expires.

## Steps

1. Open the Messaging Portal login URL provided by your administrator.
2. Enter organization name, email, and password.
3. Sign in and confirm you reach the [Dashboard](/syntphony-messaging-portal/dashboard.md) or your default landing module.

### Supported browsers

Use the latest versions of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for best compatibility.

Internet Explorer and access via mobile devices are not supported.

## Troubleshooting

* **Expired activation link:** Request a new invitation from an administrator via [User Management](/syntphony-messaging-portal/messaging-tools/administration/user-management.md).
* **Wrong organization:** Confirm the organization name matches the invitation email.

## Expected outcome

You can sign in and access modules allowed by your assigned role.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs-conversational-ai.syntphony.com/syntphony-messaging-portal/getting-started/login.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
