# Message to Client

## Purpose

Send a templated WhatsApp message to a single recipient.

## Who this is for

Operators and supervisors executing one-to-one customer notifications.

## Prerequisites

* At least one approved template in [Template Gallery](/syntphony-messaging-portal/messaging-tools/construction/template-gallery.md).
* A configured sender number and source in [Administration](/syntphony-messaging-portal/messaging-tools/administration.md).
* Recipient phone number in international format (E.164, for example `+14155552671`).

## Steps

1. Open **Communication** and go to **Message to Client**.
2. Enter the recipient phone number in international format (include country code).
3. Select the sender number from configured sources.
4. Select an approved template.
5. Complete template variables when the template requires them.
6. Preview the final message content.
7. Send the message.

## Validation

* Preview matches template and variable values before send.
* The send appears in [Message History](/syntphony-messaging-portal/messaging-tools/analysis/message-history.md) and contributes to [Dashboard](/syntphony-messaging-portal/dashboard.md) metrics.

## Troubleshooting

* **Invalid number:** Confirm E.164 format and country code.
* **Template unavailable:** Verify template approval status in Template Gallery.
* **Send blocked:** Confirm source and phone configuration are active.

## Expected outcome

The recipient receives an individual message and the event is logged for analysis.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs-conversational-ai.syntphony.com/syntphony-messaging-portal/messaging-tools/communication/message-to-client.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
